The Fairfax Creamery Association was organized in 1896 by the following: John H. Lieble, Aug. Voeks, Peter Peschges, Wenzel Frank, J. A. Whitmer, J. W. Donahue and John Albrecht. The following officers were chosen: J. A. Whitmer, president; J. W. Donahue, vice president; Peter Peschges, secretary, and Wenzel Frank, treasurer. Buildings were erected and buttermaking operations were started in 1896, the buttermaker being W. B. Cleveland. In 1901, a buttermaker's house was erected. About 1909 the creamery was rented for a period of one year to C. B. Thomas. It is now out of existence.
