"City Factory Buildings" Better Judge F. T. Wilson originally made the suggestion to us; Mayor Kolliner came to bat with a solution for it, so here it goes. The name "old prison buildings" is obsolete. It has a harsh grating sound that we in Stillwater ought to forget. Wm. Kennison objects strenuously to calling the place where The American Motor Mfg. Co.'s factory building is located "the old prison" and we agree with him. The judge said some other name should be found for the institution, which is city owned. So in talking to hizzoner, we happened to mention the subject, and he came back, in that quick fire way of his with a name, "The City Factory Buildings." Now that is pretty good; don't you think so? Let's stop calling them "the old prison" buildings anyhow. Perhaps you have a suggestion for a name; if so, let's have it. |
