FIRST AID IN SCHOOLS.

Manual Students Meet With Accidents Causing Need of Dispensary.

The manual training department of the public schools needs a small apothecary department in conjunction with the lathes, saws, forges and planing machines, said Supervisor J. E. Painter. So many beginners in the manual training department meet with accidents that Mr. Painter has deemed it advisable to provide a "first aid to the injured" outfit in each school where manual training is taught. The outfit would consist of diluted carbolic acid, sterilized gauze, sterilized bandages, absorbant cotton and adhesive tape.

To demontrate the use of a "first aid" supply, Mr. Painter is going to arrange a meeting at which Dr. C. H. Keene will give a practical lecture.
