SMALLPOX IS DECREASING

DR. BRACKEN BRINGS IN ENCOURAGING REPORTS.

Dr. H. M. Bracken, of the state board of health, has returned from aa extended trip of inspection through the state. On this trip he visited Jasper, Waverly, Grand Rapids, Little Falls, Wright, Louriston and Duluth. The doctor states that all the reported cases of contagious diseases are well quarantined and that there has been no spread of infection.

There has been a marked decrease in the cases of smallpox the past month only eighty-six cases being reported since May 10, and of that number only eight cases have been made in St. Paul. Minneapolis has also had some cases, most of which have been quite light.
